Exhibition "Magnificent - the story of ceramics in Hasselt" 

publicity through means of ceramic ware produced in the local ceramics factory at the beginning of the 20th century: multi-color bill boards, table-mats, ashtrays, etc. in art-nouveau style.

Genever attributes

Exhibition by the collector's club De Langeman of posters, bottles in stoneware and glass, labels and glasses, all in the spirit of genever.

Presentation of the 2009 Museum Genever (3 p.m.) 

Since 1991 the National Genever Museum produces its own grain genever. This genever, distilled in a 19th-century distillation column, fills each year 1,000 exclusive bottles. It is the Mayor's privilege to do the tasting. The presentation of the 20th edition will be part of an astonishing spectacle !

Ambiance with the STOOPKES (from 3.30 p.m.)

Also this year, the music of the STOOPKES, will create the necessary genever ambiance at the courtyard of the Museum. In their new 2009 program, they combine their evergreens with new songs in a variety of music styles: folk music, jazz, rock, crooners, easy listening, the 50ties and 60ties, ...


SUNDAY, 18 OCTOBER


Final of a cocktail contest (as of 11 a.m.) 

The finalists of the genever cocktail contest will present their blend. A panel of experts will elect the winner. And you ? Will you join us for a tasting ?!

The Cocktail sensation (as of 1.30 p.m. ) 

Once the winner of the cocktail contest is named, a cocktail-juggler will take the floor. The bottles, shakers and ice cubes will be soaring in the air.

Independent Booze Orchestra (at 2.30 and 3.30 p.m)

The 5 musicians are taking care of 11 instruments, including vocals. Their repertoire is a mix of music styles ranging from waltz to swing, from jazz to rock. Their acts will call for interaction with the audience.
